Paper Coffee Filters

what type of coffee maker yields better tasting ground roast coffee, the one that uses paper filters or the?
one that has a paperless filter which doesnt require paper filters? which one also yields a stronger cup of coffee, one that uses paper filters or one that doesnt require paper filters? can a coffee expert please answer my question. rsvp. thank you very much.
I use a Chemex manual drip coffee maker. It makes delicious coffee using their own brand paper filters.
But:
Paper absorbs the oils that give coffee it's rich flavor, so if you want the best taste a paper filter should be avoided. I use a moka pot more often than my french press, but both make a wonderful cup.
One other thing is health. the oils in coffee raise your LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and can cause hardening of the arteries in heavy smokers. If either of these things affect you, you may want to limit yourself with unfiltered coffee.
I would never use paper filters for my best coffee, but I do enjoy the smooth flavor I get from it on the weekends @ breakfast.
