This drink was invented just after World War II by an Irish bar man who wanted a drink that would revive airplane passengers after a long flight. This recipe serves two.
Ingredients:
3 ounces of Irish whiskey

12 ounces of any strong coffee
Whipped cream for garnish
Directions:
Heat a goblet glass in boiling water. Dry the glass and pour in the whiskey and sugar.
Pour in the hot coffee and stir the drink to dissolve the sugar.
Top the coffee mixture with a generous dollop of whipped cream and serve.
Should be served with a small straw and a drizzle of creme de menthe on top.
