Black Metal Coffee
how to fix worn marks on my black coffee table?
I just moved from Arizona to Ohio and I packed my stuff into a Upack and had everything shipped. I have a few end tables and a coffee table from IKEA (I think they are like a wood lamanate or something) Anyways, during transit they settled and even though I had towels and blankets around and between then, they still rubbed on the metal floor of the Upack cube and now there are all of these wear marks on the sides and sides of the legs! How do I get the marks to disappear? I have tried a black marker, but it's too shiny and more noticeable than I wanted. I was thinking something like OId English, but I don't know if they have black, or if that will even work on some thing that is not real wood.
This is the main table with the most damage:

All of the other tables are made of the same material.
"Lack" is a noun form of the Swedish word for "paint." I checked. It is a painted table. I think you will get the best results if you buy a can of high gloss spray paint, and take your tables outside and coat them well. It's probably the only way you will get a uniform finish. You may want to sand the edges of the scrapes first.
Thats what I do when I dont have Black metal coffee
