My coffee maker is broken?
When I try to make coffee in my proctor- silex coffee maker, it will stop about half way through and the filter part will fill up with water. Does anyone have ideas as to why it acts like it gets clogged?
Additional Info: We grind our own coffee beans, the coffee pot is rather new, and i've already tried cleaning the filter basket, but nothing seems to work!
You need to run white vinegar through the maker with hot water
and repeat and do this a few times, and let it sit for awhile.
It is in dire need of a
complete clean out. I have taken coffee makers apart and have
cleaned them completely through, and much of the clogs are due
to hard water building up. After you let it soak and run through with
the w.v., change the filter and run just plain water through a few times.
See if it does not run fine afterward! Good Luck!
